Good evening Everyone,

The 2017 Winter Walk Challenge drawing was held in Shady Cove, Oregon on May 12th, 2017 at the OTSVA State Meeting.

The results of the extended contest (January 1st to April 30th) are:

1st Place - $100.00 REI Gift Card - Julia Westerberg (Willamette Wanderers)

2nd Place - $75.00 REI Gift Card - Ethel Wood (Rose City Roamers & Columbia River Volkssport Club)

3rd Place - $50.00 REI Gift Card - Dick Baker (Rose City Roamers & Columbia River Volkssport Club)

I want to thank everyone who participated in this years Winter Walk Contest, especially with the lousy weather we had for alot of the winter months making it difficult to get out and do a walk or even wanting to.

As a Bonus this year - Thanks to Louise Baltes for donating her time and making 3 towels for the most walks walked - Gold 1st Place, SIlver 2nd Place and Bronze 3rd Place.
These were awarded for the person who did the most walks and then the next most walks and then the bronze towel was from a drawing since there was a 6 way tie for 3rd place.

1st Place Gold Medal Towel - Ethel Wood with 80 walks (Columbia River Volkssport Club & Rose City Roamers(

2nd Place Silver Medal Towel - Karen McGehee with 40 walks (Willamette Wanderers, Albany Fitwalkers and OTSVA Treasurer)

3rd Place Bronze Medal Towel - (By drawing) - Dan Webster with 30 walks (Cedar Milers)
